Trail Pix from Kurt’s hike

Sometimes the Appalachian Trail looks like this. AND Bridges of the Appalachian Trail. The Trail crosses the Hudson River here at the Bear Mountain Bridge where the sidewalk is on the left. This is also the lowest elevation on the Trail at 180 feet. I walked over the bridge yesterday afternoon. #appalachiantrail #bridges #NewYork #AT2015

Flat George on the Appalachian Trail with New Jersey’s highest point behind him in High Point State Park. George remembers that Virginia’s highest point had feral ponies, but no obelisk. #appalachiantrail #NewJersey #AT2015

Fungi of the Appalachian Trail. This little (1 to 1.5 inches tall) purplish fungus caught my eye today on the Appalachian Trail north of High Point State Park, New Jersey, and just past County Rd 519. #appalachiantrail #fungus #mushrooms #NewJersey #AT2015

And did I mention the wineberries I harvested at the underpass where the Appalachian Trail goes under I-80 in the Delaware Water Gap? #appalachiantrail #NewJersey #berries #foraging #wineberries #AT2015

Bridges on the Appalachian Trail. This little one carries hikers (and trucks and cars driving Interstate 80) over the Delaware River. This was taken from the heights of the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware Water Gap with New Jersey across the river. #appalachiantrail #bridges #Pennsylvania #NewJersey #delawareriver #at2015
