Trail Pix from Kurt’s hike

Fungi of the Appalachian Trail. This tiny coral fungus was growing along the Trail a couple days ago north of the AT Museum in Gardners, PA. Kind of the stalagmites to pair with the stalactite-like one growing on the side of a tree a few days back. #appalachiantrail #pennsylvania #fungus #mushrooms #AT2015

Bridges on the Appalachian Trail. A long distance view of the confluence of the Juniata and Susquehanna Rivers in central Pennsylvanua. The Appalachian Trail crosses that bridge in the distance over the Juniata before it then crosses the Susquehanna. #appalachiantrail #bridges #Pennsylvania #Juniata #Duncannon #at2015

Fungi of the Appalachian Trail. Purple ones earn extra points, right? This was growing on Peters Mountain on the east side of the Susquehanna River this afternoon. #appalachiantrail #pennsylvania #fungus #mushrooms #AT2015

The boots are back at Lisburn Rd in Southern PA. I had posted a similar photo back before I started this hike to mark the first time these particular boots were on the AT. Now they’re here (on my feet, of course) in the midst of my thru hike. I suppose I’ll come back and do it again this fall after I finish the hike, too. #appalachiantrail #pennsylvania #boots #gear #AT2015
