Deer Park Mountain Shelter just 3 miles south of Hot Springs, NC. I will be in or near the shelter tonight; probably near, as the logbook has many reports of mice in the shelter at night and of skunks trying to get in. Could be interesting. #at2015

What I was looking at today at 12 noon, a tiny part of the 360 degree panorama from the top of Max Patch (4616 feet elev.). Picnics, kite flying, and thru hikers. Marvelous place on a day like today. Then hiked another 7.5 miles to a shelter for a daily total of 13. A good day. Total mileage is nowjust over 256. #at2015
