Trail Pix from Kurt’s hike

Fungi of the Appalachian Trail. This little red bracket fungus was growing on the side of a small dead tree a few miles south of Rockfish Gap on the Appalachian Trail. It measured maybe 2 inches across. #appalachiantrail #Virginia #fungus #mushrooms #at2015

Fungi of the Appalachian Trail: this eye-catching mushroom was on the #appalachiantrail just south of Seely-Woodworth Shelter in Virginia, helpfully spotlighted by the sun as I hiked by. #mushrooms #fungus #Virginia #at2015

Bridges on the Appalachian Trail. This long foot-travel-only bridge crosses the James River near Glasgow, VA. When I crossed it before noon today I was excited to find trail magic (in the form of a cooler packed full of ice and drinks) at the far end. Bridge was built in 2000. #appalachiantrail #bridges #Virginia #at2015
