Sometimes the Appalachian Trail looks like this. This is on the north side of the Dragon’s Tooth in Virginia, south of Roanoke a ways. The Holy Family Hostel in Pearisburg, VA (out behind Holy Family Catholic Church) a good couple miles from the #appalachiantrail but a very pleasant, open, and well-supplied hiker hostel nonetheless. Worth the trek off trail to get here. After Mass this morning they invited us all (half a dozen hikers) to their potluck breakfast. #hostels #Virginia #churches #at2015
