This morning I’m eating breakfast in Penzance. Then I catch a bus to Land’s End. Then I walk.

Yesterday, tho, was another long travel day. Came with train delays, first on the train I took out of Bristol, making me late getting into Taunton where I was to switch trains. But the incoming trains there were also delayed. The short of it was that I didn’t get here until 2 hours after scheduled.

I’m learning to be flexible. A slow train also allows better photos out the window, like this one of the Westbury White Horse.

Westbury White Horse (ca. 1770s)

It’s a “full English” breakfast, by the way … except not completely full. I’m doing without the bacon and sausage that usually come with. Did get the baked beans, mushrooms, baked tomato slices, hashbrowns, toast, and poached eggs (2 because I’m doing without the meat).

Weather looks to be sunny today. About the middle of my walk I’ll pass through St. Buryan which has a nice old church that’s open all day. I’ll be stopping there.

God be with you.
