My husband grew up in that area of New Jersey and would tell me all the time that when he hiked along that area of the trail he was always excited to come across the berries! Nice little treat 🙂

What a lovely color they are! I’ve never eaten wine berries before (or even heard of them). Do they taste like wine, or are they called that, because they can be used for making good wine?
