Town can be frustrating when one is at the laundromat, the change machine doesn’t work, all the stores seem to be out of quarters just at the moment, and the bank is closed for lunch from 1 to 2. Other than that it’s okay, I guess.
Then just after I wrote this comment the attendant drove up and fixed the change machine. Dry clothes coming right up!

We do go thru several small towns along the way. There’s this one, Damascus VA, Duncannon PA, Port Clinton PA, Delaware Water Gap PA, and some up in New England. And probably some others I’m not remembering. Then there are other towns nearby the Trail that are also known to be “hiker friendly.”
