Trail Pix from Kurt’s hike

Food bags this morning in the fog at Russell Field Shelter in the Smokies. All hung high to avoid tempting the black bears. Not that I’ve seen any bears yet. An hour later the fog is pretty well burned off. #at2015

View from my spot in the Russell Field Shelter last night. Tarp closes off the front to keep the wind out and body heat in. Packs hung to try to keep mice out. Shoes neatly lined up just because. #at2015

View from the Fontana Shelter (nicknamed the Hilton) where I’m staying tonight. It overlooks the lake impounded behind the Fontana Dam. Tomorrow I walk across the dam and into Great Smoky Mountains National Park. #at2015
